THEATRE HIRE
The Civic Theatre is available for Hire. If you are interested, please email a written request ASAP. Please include Date, Times, Number of people, Purpose of event, do you need to use our Lighting? Sound? The more information you provide, the quicker we can respond with an answer.
Please note that the prices stated below are a rough guide only.
We will give you an exact price once we have your request.
Facilities may differ slightly & may not be available at the time of you hiring the Theatre.
Housekeeping Rules may also differ at the time of you hiring the Theatre.
Standard Charges
Half Day - Rehearsal $50 - Performance $150
Day or Evening - Rehearsal $75 - Performance $150
Day and Evening - Rehearsal $100 - Performance $150
Lights $25 per hour
Sound $25 per hour
A Bond of $200 is payable on acceptance of Booking.
Facilities:
Seating: 100 x Red Chairs, 50 x Blue Chairs (Total 150 moveable chairs)
69 x Seats Front Dress Circle, 57 x Seats Rear Dress Circle (Total 126 fixed seats)
Kitchen: Stove, Microwave, Refrigerator, Water Boiler, Pie Warmer
2 x Large Teapots, Assorted Crockery & Cutlery
Tables: 12 x Medium Trestles, 2 x Round, 5 x Small Rectangular
Housekeeping:
- The Theatre complex must be left in a clean and tidy condition in order for the Bond to be refunded.
- Cleaning equipment can be found in the front foyer west ticket box
- Do Not drag furniture etc. on floors
- Keep Fire Exits clear from obstructions
- Remove all rubbish on departure or when striking set
- All breakages and damage to be paid for in full upon quote from repairer
- If sale of Liquor is required, the renters will apply for their own Bar Licence.
- Renters will provide own Coffee/Tea/Sugar/Toilet Paper/Handtowels etc.
- Floors to be Mopped & Vacuumed
- All notices, posters etc. to be removed
- Nothing attached to bar or walls and no stapling to walls
- Premises to be vacated by 12:30am
